something that has taken me far too long to realize is, I love blogging.
I have 59 followers, and although I am pretty sure that half of those followers are me and my 5th grade emails, I thank you.
Let me know if your reading. Comment, and i'll praise you. You are all pretty fantastic.
With that being said, it's 2012. but facebook could have told you that.
I seem to exaggerate the new year more than the average fourteen year old girl should.
I try and be a new person every year. No, my personality likes it here. You can change your smile, you can change your clothes, you can change your outlook on life. But as for me, old habits die hard. No matter how many new years have passed, and new years resolutions have been tossed, I still like to sit by the fire and watch Yo Gabba Gabba. I still call haley and sing to her. (It's horrid really, but she likes it.) I still bake cookies and burn them. I still refer to Harry Potter as the only boy I will ever love. But those are things I wouldn't want to change. (Okay, it would be rather amazing if I could bake SOMETHING without burning it.) New year is time to blog more, laugh more, make mistakes, do things that will make our 18 year old selves groan.
Change can be good. Like when Courtney cuts her hair which looks darling. When second term starts and you can only dream of spring break. When missionaries return, when friends change. You always need change. I would know, considering I try and make my blog more glamorous every week. And more importantly I change favorite songs on a regular basis.
(But I can't go without mentioning my current favorite, "Love love love- avalanche city" or "Safe&Sound- Taylor Swift ft. Civil Wars. Go hunger games. It only makes me bawl.)
Changing routines is a must. In my case, I could get really crazy and brush my teeth AFTER I pick out my outfit for school. Didn't see that one coming did you? You get the point. Change is wonderful. In fact, the boss just confirmed a hair appointment for tomorrow. And I'll change it up. Suggestions?
Well, its january first. And with all this change surrounding me, there is still that evil daily mood killer we can't get rid of. lurking in the back of my mind. School. I was able to completely block out the filthy idea when christmas break began. Now, I am coming back to conciousness, thoughts of essays and term finals bringing me down. It's been a good run. Two weeks without uttering a single word in spanish. Playing with my favorite little puppy, and walking home in 80 degree weather (really utah? come ON.) twitter stalking, instagramming and temple running on my new ipod named sally. (I tend to get attatched easily.) too many sleepovers and one killer new years eve party. I'm ready for a nap. Hopefully I can take this all in when I wake up.
So Peace out christmas break. Hopefully, next year I will still be blogging at this time, with long hair, gorgeous nails, healthy body and twice as many blog followers. Then again aren't we all supposed to die this year anyway?
Cheers.
