I lack the patience to keep an actual journal, and I lack the organization skills to blog about something when it actually happens. In my life, I have a mental book called "The Greatest Days of Indy Severe"
scattered throughout the years. I have successes and I have brilliant failures, but the point of this is part of my new years mantra.
This can't always be true, but I feel like
"This is going to turn out well, or make for a good story. Either way we're on the verge of greatness."
Hence the name of my blog. This is true for me in most cases. It typically reminds me of summer nights when this phone call occurred way too many times:
"Hey what are we doing tonight?"
"Everyone is going to masons"
"But we hate going to masons"
"I know, but we'll make it fun."
It sounds something like that, in between the conversations of me and Maddie Madsen.
And then you get us even a half a year later, laughing until tears stream, when we reminisce the best nights that we then considered "failures".
We would come home thinking, "that sucked."
When in the end, something great came out of every situation. A great memory. And if it takes us a year to realize that, so be it. This year will be filled to the brim of insane stories, and funny memories.
This post hardly made sense to me, so you can go ahead and question wether im sane or not. The point I am trying to get across is, most nights are great. most people are great. life is great.
So lets be great, I guess.

I rarely write responses, but after looking at through a
ReplyDeletefew of the comments on "One for the books". I do have a couple of
questions for you if it's okay. Is it only me or does it look like some of these remarks come across like they are left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing on additional social sites, I'd like to keep up with you.
Could you post a list of the complete urls of all your social networking pages like your linkedin
profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
